Privacy notice

This notice explains what data ironspan.eu processes, why and for how long. The site is intended for business-to-business contact.

Contact forms

When you send a message using a form on the site, we process the details you enter yourself: your name, company, email address and message. The short contact form does not ask for a company.

We use the details only to reply to you and to arrange a visit. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering an enquiry addressed to us and, where relevant, steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.

Form messages are received and stored by the site's hosting provider, Netlify. Messages sent through the forms are kept for 24 months from sending. If the enquiry leads to a customer relationship, the data is kept for the duration of the relationship and for the six years after it ends required by the Finnish Accounting Act.

Resource requests

For calculator downloads, we store your email address, the resource requested and the form language. We use these details to handle your request and communicate about it. A request does not subscribe you to a newsletter. Processing is based on our legitimate interest in responding to a resource request addressed to us. Netlify receives and stores the requests. We keep them for 24 months from submission.

Customer revenue entered in the calculator is not sent to us. It stays in the Excel file you downloaded.

Analytics: Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to see how many visitors the site has and which sections are read.

Google Analytics is loaded only after the visitor has accepted analytics cookies. Before consent, nothing is sent to Google. Data is retained for 14 months. Google Signals is not enabled. IP addresses are anonymised.

With your consent we record page loads, the sections you scroll to, clicks on the contact buttons, and whether you started and sent a form. We never send form content, names or contact details to Google.

Google Analytics sets the cookies _ga and _ga_KP1J1DPVLD, which expire after at most two years. The legal basis is your consent.

You can withdraw consent at any time in the cookie settings. Withdrawing deletes any Google Analytics cookies already set and reloads the page, and Google Analytics is not loaded on later visits.

Choices stored in your browser

The site keeps your cookie choice in your browser's storage so that the banner is not shown again, together with a note that the opening animation has already played in this session. These are necessary for the site to work and never leave your browser.

If you have given analytics consent, the browser also remembers for the session which sections have already been recorded, so that none is counted twice.

Hosting

The site runs on Netlify's servers. Netlify logs standard technical data such as IP address, time and requested page in order to deliver the service and keep it secure.

Fonts and the 3D library on the home page are served from the site's own server, so the page fetches nothing from third parties before analytics consent.

Recipients and transfers outside the EU

We use Netlify, Inc. (hosting and forms) and Google (Google Analytics) as processors. We do not sell data or pass it on to anyone else.

Netlify and Google may process data in the United States. Transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. You can withdraw consent-based processing at any time.

If you believe we process your data unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman: tietosuoja.fi.

Automated decisions

We make no automated decisions about visitors and do not profile them.

We update this notice when our processing changes. The current version is always on this page, with the date at the top.
